Haier Biomedical Solar Direct Drive Cold Room will be Shipped to Burkina Faso to Assist Local Cold Chain Medicine Storage
In June of this year, our customer in Burkina Faso placed an order to purchase a 30 cubic meter solar direct drive cold room for medicine storage. Currently the production and quality inspections have been completed and the cargo is expected to be shipped within September. Since cold room products are customized on demand, Haier Biomedical’s product development and technical personnel formulate product plans according to local conditions. As Burkina Faso is located inland in West Africa and lacks power resources, the cold room utilizes solar direct drive power supply. In addition, to ensure the endurance of the product during the rainy season, the engineer has also configured a switchable scheme of city electricity and solar energy to ensure the temperature stability of the cold room throughout the year.

At present, an AC cold room and traditional solar powered cold room are facing many problems, such as high costs, poor stability, high noise and no remote monitoring in terms of installment, usage and maintenance. The Haier Biomedical SDD cold room solution is manufactured with the latest solar energy technology, equipped with six independent refrigeration units and 2700W solar panels to ensure normal operation under the minimum light of 250W/m2 needing no batteries at all. In terms of power supply, the only thing that the cold room consumes is solar energy, which means that the Haier Biomedical SDD cold room has almost zero energy consumption costs. The total cost is very low thus, even after the power is cut off, it can continue to keep temperature uniformity for more than 100 hours at an ambient temperature of 25-32℃, ensuring the safety of medicines around the clock.

The working voltage of the DC compressor of the Haier Biomedical SDD cold room is 32-60VDC, which is relatively wide. The maximum power voltage of the solar panel is 48.7V, and the voltage fluctuation range is small. The fan is driven by the 24VDC constant voltage output compressor and adopts a frost-free design. The temperature uniformity is less than 2℃, and it is suitable for an ultra-wide ambient temperature of 10 to 43℃, which means the solution has a wide range of applications. It also has lightning protection and grounding devices, which can effectively prevent electrical components from being damaged by lightning ensuring its operation is stable, reliable and safe.
