Recently, China's independently developed nine-valent HPV vaccine has been officially put into use, marking a new stage in HPV prevention and control in China and providing more comprehensive and accessible protection options for women aged 9 to 45.
Efficient protection, building a strong immune barrier
HPV infection is a major cause of various cancers. In addition to the well-known cervical cancer, HPV(Human papillomavirus) can also cause cancers such as anal cancer, vulvar cancer, oral cancer and penile cancer. It is reported that there are approximately 700, 000 cases of tumors related to HPV worldwide each year. Correct vaccination can increase the effective rate of random HPV infection prevention to 94%, significantly reducing the risk of disease.
At present, HPV vaccines include three types: bivalent, quadrivalent and nonavalent. Women aged 9 to 45 can receive this vaccine. Among them, those aged 9 to 17 only need to receive two doses, while women aged 18 to 45 need to receive three doses. It should be noted that even if one has been vaccinated, it is still recommended to have regular check-ups and take multiple protective measures to achieve comprehensive prevention.
Smart cold chain breaks through, Chinese solution solves Africa's immunization problem
Reliable vaccine protection not only depends on the widespread vaccination but also relies on the storage and transportation guarantee throughout the entire chain from production to vaccination. In Africa, where infrastructure is weak, unstable power supply and insufficient cold chain equipment have led to the loss of vaccine potency and limited coverage, becoming the key bottleneck restricting local herd immunity.
In response to this global health challenge, Haier Biomedical has provided practical solutions with innovative technologies. Its independently developed Solar Direct Drive Vaccine Refrigerators, Pharmacy Refrigerators and other equipment have solved the problem of vaccine storage and transportation in remote areas. For instance, after a solar-powered vaccine refrigerator is powered off at an ambient temperature of 43℃, the temperature inside the box can remain below 8℃ for up to 121 hours. Even after a power outage of 160 hours, the temperature inside the box does not exceed 10℃, ensuring the safety of the vaccine to the greatest extent.
Relying on Internet of Things (IoT) technology, Haier Biomedical has also built a smart vaccine ecosystem network, achieving full traceability of storage and transportation and real-time early warning of abnormal temperatures, safeguarding the "last mile" of vaccine safety.
At present, Haier Biomedical's vaccine solutions have entered many African countries such as Uganda and Ethiopia, effectively improving the efficiency of vaccination and playing a key role in local public health.
Protecting every bit of health starts with a safe and effective vaccine. Haier Biomedical will continue to be driven by innovation and take health as its responsibility. It will help increase the vaccination rate in Africa and around the world, promote the equal development of public health, and contribute to building a community of health for all mankind.
