Visiting the intelligent manufacturing site to experience the "warmth" of technology

On the first day of training, the Ethiopian delegation visited the exhibition halls and factories of Haier Group and Haier Biomedical, immersing themselves in the cutting-edge fusion of Internet of Things (IoT) technology and biomedical innovation. From IoT smart solutions to advanced products like the UltraEco ULT Freezer, Haier Biomedical showcased the power of "intelligent manufacturing in China" in supporting global health through pioneering innovation. This visit not only demonstrated the warmth and strength of "intelligent manufacturing in China" to the world but also set the stage for the upcoming product training.

Leveraging solar technology to safeguard Africa and smart solutions to tackle local challenges

Ethiopia has a large population but faces challenges such as an underdeveloped medical infrastructure, uneven resource distribution, a shortage of medical equipment, and difficulties in disease prevention and control. In response to these issues, Haier Biomedical innovatively developed the Solar Direct Drive Vaccine Refrigerator in 2019. This innovation operates independently of external power grids and can function reliably in areas with no or weak electricity, solving the local "power outage" problem for vaccine storage.

To date, Haier Biomedical has successfully installed over 10,000 sets of Solar Direct Drive Vaccine Refrigerators in Ethiopia, ensuring that millions of families have access to safe and reliable vaccines. This initiative has secured the continuity of vaccine supply, eliminating supply disruptions caused by power shortages and enabling timely, efficient protection of lives—truly ensuring "no delays" in life-saving efforts.

Offering in-depth training to facilitate system upgrades

The exchange focused primarily on product training. Haier Biomedical's technical team organized a comprehensive training program for the delegation, covering the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Solar Direct Drive Vaccine Refrigerator (Upright), as well as the application of IoT smart solutions.

By combining theory, demonstrations, and hands-on practice, the team ensured that the representatives mastered essential skills. The representatives actively engaged, raised practical questions, and received detailed answers from the instructors. This training not only boosted the representatives' professional skills but also introduced advanced technologies and concepts, contributing to the upgrade of the local public health system.
