Q:Is stainless steel tank optional for ULT freezers?
A:Stainless steel tank is optional for all ULT models.
Q:Is the printer optional for ULT freezers?
A:A printer is optional for all ULT models. However, it is not recommended to actively promote it to the users.
Q:Do ULT freezers have an adjustable tray?
A:An adjustable tray is available as an accessory, used to place samples and other items when accessing the freezer for user convenience.
Q:Do ULT freezers have a factory inspection report?
A:Each freezer comes with a test report when leaving the factory.
Q:What are HC Refrigerants? How are refrigerants classified?
A:Depending on the extent to which freon destroys the atmospheric ozone layer, the refrigerants are generally classified into CFC, HCFC, HFC, and HC.
● CFC- Chlorofluorocarbon. It has been banned worldwide as a public nuisance. It contains chlorine and no hydrogen and damages the ozone layer seriously;
For example: R11 (fluor trichloromethane), R12 (difluoro dichloromethane), R13 (Trichlorofluoromethane), and R14 (carbon tetrafluoride), etc.
● HCFC- Hydrochlorofluorocarbon. It has been banned in developed countries and China as a transitional substance with low public nuisance. It contains chlorine and hydrogen.
For example: R22 (difluorochloromethane), R123 (Dichlorotrifluoroethane), R124 (Chlorotetrafluoroethane), and R142b (Chlorodifluoroethane), etc.
● HFC- hydrofluorocarbon. It has been officially banned by developed countries, such as the EU and Australia, in 2020. It is chlorine-free and pollution-free and can be used as an alternative refrigerant, but it contributes significantly to the greenhouse effect.
For example: R134a (tetrafluoromethane), R125 (pentafluoro ethane), R32 (difluoromethane), R23 (trifluoro methane), R116 (hexafluoroethane), R143a (trifluoroethane), R404A (a mixed refrigerant made up of 44% R125 + 4% R134A + 52% 143A), R508B (a mixed refrigerant made up of 46% R23 + 54% R116), R410A (a mixed refrigerant made up of 50% R32 + 50% R125), and R245fa (perfluoro propane), etc.
● HC - hydrocarbon. It is widely used and promoted by the EU, the US, Australia, and China as a pollution-free product of nature. It is chlorine-free and fluoride-free. As an alternative refrigerant, it contributes little (almost 0) to the greenhouse effect.
For example: R600a (iso-butane), R290 (propane), R170 (ethane), R1150 (ethylene), and R50 (methane), etc.
Q:How can an ULT Freezer with a large volume enter through a door opening?
A:
● For ULT freezers of 728/828/959L and above, the minimum door size shall be 890mm.
● The DW-86L578 can pass through an 830mm door after removing the handle.
● The DW-86L338J/388J can pass through a 750mm door.
Q:How much does an ULT Freezer weigh when it is fully loaded?
A:Generally, it is the net weight of the freezer plus the weight of the fully-loaded samples:
The weight of a 5*5 cryogenic rack is considered to be 17kg:
The weight calculation of the freezer shall refer to the number of cryogenic racks installed for each model as shown in the product catalogue:
Q:How to query the official website screenshot of the Energy Star Certification?
A:Website: https://www.energystar.gov/products/spec?s=mega
Q:What are the differences between the various external interfaces?
A:
● About RS232 interface:
It is used to monitor the running state of the freezer remotely. It sends digital signals within a transmission distance of 20 meters and allows one-to-one communication only. It has been gradually replaced by RS485.
● About RS485 interface
It is used to monitor the running state of the freezer remotely. It sends digital signals within a transmission distance of up to one thousand meters and allows one-to-many communication. Haier makes this kind of interface available.
● About 4-20mA interface:
It can only be used to monitor the freezer temperature via analog signals. It is mostly used in the early old models of Thermo.
● About Dry contacts interface:
It can only be used to provide a switching signal for alarm, achieving a connected or disconnected state in case of any alarm. Haier makes this kind of interface available.
● About Ethernet interface
It is used to monitor the running state of the freezer remotely via digital signal and is mostly used in PHCBI.
Q:How to replace the battery for an ULT Freezer?
A:The batteries of our ULT freezers all provide a 12V power supply:
● The BP/T, S/ST series uses lithium batteries.
● Other series use lead-acid batteries.
Q:How can an ULT Freezer be fixed in a specific position?
A:In addition to 4 universal casters, each ULT freezer is provided with 2 fixed feet.
Q:What is the difference between the IoT module and
the cold chain module of ULT Freezers?
A:
● IoT module (blue): It must be used together with the ULT freezers. As it has no independent temperature probe, it cannot work alone.
● Cold chain module (white): It has an independent temperature probe. It can be used together with the ULT freezers and monitor all refrigerators including the rivals’ refrigerators.
Q:What's the warranty of ULT and Biomedical Freezers?
A:3 years for the complete machine and 5 years for the compressor
