Haier Biomedical Partners With University Of Malaya To Co-Create A New Blueprint For Scientific Research
Aligning with China's Belt and Road strategic framework, Haier Biomedical has recently entered into in-depth cooperation with the University of Malaya, a top-100 comprehensive university worldwide, through the China-ASEAN Joint Laboratory of Mariculture Technology to jointly establish a research laboratory.

Furthermore, Haier Biomedical is also participating in the development of the China-ASEAN mariculture collaboration network, contributing corporate expertise to the cultivation of technical talent and the advancement of scientific innovation in mariculture.

Leading Institution Endorsement Reflects Product Excellence
As a prestigious comprehensive research university with a strong global reputation in academia, the University of Malaya has long-standing academic strengths and influence in the field of air–ocean–land interaction. Through industry–academia–research cooperation, the two sides will closely collaborate in areas including germplasm resource conservation, mariculture technology research, and talent cultivation. This aims to support ASEAN countries in establishing competitive mariculture industries centred on modern marine high technologies, while contributing to the coordinated development of China–ASEAN mariculture industry and the high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.

The self-developed equipment supplied by Haier Biomedical—including Growth Chambers, ULT Freezers, Biological Safety Cabinets, and Centrifuges—will be fully integrated into the university’s daily marine biological research activities. Designed to meet high-intensity, high-standard scientific research requirements, the equipment demonstrates the exceptional reliability and performance of Haier Biomedical’s products.
Cutting-Edge Technology Empowering Every Stage of Research
At the core of the joint laboratory project lies the innovative experience brought by Haier Biomedical’s product series. The Growth Chambers are equipped with four key light spectra, enabling accurate simulation of various natural environments such as plateaus and dense forests. Meanwhile, internal temperature fluctuations are controlled within ±0.2°C, providing stable and controllable ambient conditions for plant-related research. The ULT Freezers perfectly support the storage of multi-level germplasm resources, including live marine biosamples (live organisms), microbial strains, compounds, and DNA. By adopting eco-friendly refrigerants and high-efficiency energy-saving systems, they significantly reduce energy consumption and operational noise while ensuring performance.

The Biological Safety Cabinets are equipped with dual HEPA filtration systems and EC fans, providing effective protection for researchers, samples, and laboratory environments. The Centrifuges, on the other hand, feature precise, intelligent PID temperature control and real-time vibration monitoring, effectively ensuring research data accuracy and experimental safety.
Deepening Collaboration to Jointly Create Scientific Research Value
The official establishment of the joint laboratory with the University of Malaya not only reflects Haier Biomedical’s technical strength, but also represents a further extension of its global brand presence. Through direct participation in cutting-edge experimental research, Haier Biomedical is able to more closely identify global innovation demands and translate them into technology R&D—forming a positive cycle linking research needs, technological innovation, and practical application, thereby accelerating key life science technology development and scenario-based solution iterative expansion.

Looking ahead, Haier Biomedical will continue to join hands with global partners, leveraging technology to contribute China’s wisdom and solutions to high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, making life better through innovation.
