Earth Day 2020 is the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day

The 22nd April is celebrated around the world annually as Earth Day to demonstrate support for environmental protection. The annual event was first celebrated in 1970 and now it includes events coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network in more than 193 countries.

As the Blue Planet Earth amongst the vast and open universe is home to billions of people who must all work together to survive but at the same time, we must protect our home – Planet Earth!

Earth Day will educate and mobilize more than one billion people to grow and support the next generation of environmental activists. It's time to reimagine what we can collectively do for our global environment with activities and events – (Earth Day Network).

Earth Day 2020 is the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. Celebrations will include activities such as the Great Global Clean-up, Citizen Science, Advocacy, Education and Art.

COVID-19 has shifted the global emphasis to Digital Mobilizations.
