On June 17, 2025, Haier Biomedical, in partnership with UNICEF, conducted a specialized training session for technical personnel from Madagascar's Ministry of Health. The session focused on the operation of vaccine cold storage equipment and the Lora temperature monitoring system, advancing the country's vaccine cold chain infrastructure toward greater intelligence and precision.

11 Walk-in Cold Rooms Lay A Solid Foundation for Vaccine Storage

In 2024, Haier Biomedical built 11 walk-in cold rooms for vaccine storage in Madagascar, establishing a national vaccine storage and logistics center under the country's Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), which has greatly improved the reliability and standardization of vaccine management.

These walk-in cold rooms, designed to store vaccines at temperatures between 2ºC to 8ºC, combine core low-temperature cold chain technology with IoT integration. This effectively addresses common challenges such as unstable temperature control and delayed information traceability, ensuring stable, transparent, and fully traceable vaccine storage throughout the process.

Lora Temperature Monitoring System: A Smart Guardian of Vaccine Safety

The Lora temperature monitoring system, a key focus of the training, serves as the brain behind the safe and efficient operation of vaccine cold storage.

Equipped with remote monitoring capabilities, the system enables real-time tracking of vaccine storage conditions and automatic data uploads to the network. Users can monitor and manage the cold rooms in real time via an online platform, ensuring instant and efficient traceability. The system also features long-range communication, strong signal penetration, excellent anti-interference performance, and built-in backup batteries. In the event of anomalies, it triggers sound and light alarms, providing uninterrupted protection for vaccine safety.
