Responsibilities

Responsible for all channel sales reps by providing product training, on-site set up and training, joint sales calls, targeting new accounts, and developing key target accounts as they are identified. Travel in the assigned territory as necessary to support sales channels and build sales volume. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the development of individual employee goals and expectations, mentoring and evaluation.


· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Develop new sales opportunities and forward them to appropriate channel sales reps. Coordinate key account initiatives with Channel Sales Manager for multi-location accounts with facilities within and outside designated territories. Attend channel National Sales Meetings, regional meetings and local end user vendor shows.

· Develop and understand sales plans and objectives and proactively develop plans to achieve sales goals.

· Establish close personal relationships with all Sales Reps and customers within the territory.

· Prepare weekly sales call reports.  Report should include pipeline sales report including open quotes and closed quote status.

· Submit and follow up special quotations.

· Monitor competitors pricing and report back to Manager.

· Prepare quarterly power point presentation for internal sales meetings.

· Prepare power point presentations for region meetings as needed.

· Prepare special pricing requests for large projects.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

· Selects best procedure for identifying the problem, and modifying an existing solution, if necessary.

· Provides clear and written communications to sell products, communicate facts, and answer questions.

· Communicates with one or more people at a time in occasionally unpredictable contexts (e.g., meetings with unfamiliar people), using a wide range of formats and styles, and dealing with conflict when necessary.

· Cultivate and manage key client relationships within the region to drive depth and breadth across a market segment(s).

· Consistently demonstrate a high sense of urgency, follow-up and maintain integrity in all business interactions.


Job Requirements

 Key Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree required.  MBA would be a plus.

· Previous experience of 3+ years of successful Sales and/or Account Management experience in laboratory markets is required.

· Pharma, Medical Device, Diagnostic, Biomedical equipment, apparatus and analytical instruments required experience preferred.

· Demonstrated past sales result necessary.

· Familiar with the assigned territory market and accounts utilizing biomedical capital equipment.

· Experience working from remote or home office with minimal supervision.

· Must reside within the territory near major market and major airport.

· Solves problems that are of moderate difficulty and that have several factors, most of which are clearly defined.
